Important Dates

Here’s a reminder on application and student awards deadlines to post-secondary institutions you should be aware of for U of S, U of R, and Sask Polytech:

U of S

DEADLINES: * be sure to visit the U of S website for the deadline to apply for your specific program…the websites of the actual schools trump all of the information posted by third-party sites like this one…past U of S dates are included below:

February 15– application to education, business, engineering, kinesiology, agriculture and bioresources, and music, and music ed. Due.
February 15– must have applied to a program to be eligible for competitive entrance scholarships
March 1– application supporting documentation due (i.e. transcripts, timetables, etc…)
March 1– competitive entrance scholarship applications and supporting documentation due
May 1– application to arts and science due
June 1- supporting documentation due (i.e. transcripts, timetables, etc…)
May-June– U-Start registration workshops and webinars

  • open houses and special events will be posted when they are made available…it may be best to continually check their website as it will be made available there first anyways.

U of R

March 15- priority application deadline due for most programs (recommended for best course selection and opportunities for enrollment)
August 15– application deadline for most programs

Sask Polytech

  • programs that are First Qualified First Admitted can be applied for starting September 1st for programs that start the following school year (ie) you can start applying for FQFA September 1st of your grade 12 year for a program that starts the following fall

November 16INSIGHT–tours and presentations at all four campuses for prospective students

February 15– application deadline for high demand/competitive entry programs including dental hygiene, med rad tech, power engineering tech, practical nursing, psychiatric nursing, collaborative bachelor of science in nursing.
February 28(29)– deadline for supporting documentation for high demand programs (dental hygiene, med rad tech, power engineering tech, practical nursing, psychiatric nursing)
March 1– deadline for supporting documentation (i.e. transcripts) to competitive entry programs: collaborative bachelor of science in nursing

Scholarships and Awards– these vary throughout the year. Scholarship and awards “windows” open and close throughout the year. You will be responsible to apply when these “window” periods:

2016-2017 Academic Year

Students enrolled in a program starting in the Fall 2016 can apply for Awards (Scholarships/Bursaries/Awards) starting August 1, 2016.
